The drone strikes make us look like total pussies.

We are pussies. But not in the sense of being ever willing to send men and super toys out to kill people clandestinely in pursuit of our exceptionalist goals. We're pussies because we're willing to accept a political system that will not confront and debate the issues in the open. Virtually nothing in the current debate is directly related to what this country is actually doing here and abroad. As long as an "acceptable" number of kids are not coming home in flag-covered boxes the vast majority of us have no clue and don't care.
Frankly, I don't think the use of drones to push policy is nearly as effective as we think. Here we expect zero losses, period. Over there it's been an ongoing struggle for decades. Losses are just part of the struggle.
In reality, though, to paraphrase Gen. Schwarzkopf, "You ain't secured shit 'til you put boots on the ground."

Correct. Drones get zero respect. It will only reinforce our image of being infidels.
